Scarab Guide
by IGT
This popular Scarab slot operates on a 10-spin cycle where players collect locking gold frames. On the tenth spin, all collected frames turn wild, making the placement of frames on the left side of the board crucial for creating big, multi-line wins.
When to Play
How the Feature Works
Scarab is structured around a 10-spin cycle, which is tracked on the game screen. During the first nine spins, whenever a special gold frame symbol lands on the reels, it locks in that position for the remainder of the cycle.
The cycle's climax occurs on the 10th spin. For this spin only, every single locked gold frame that has been collected on the screen transforms into a wild symbol, creating the potential for numerous simultaneous line wins. After the 10th spin, all frames are cleared, and the counter resets to 1 to start a new cycle.
What to Be Careful About
- Suggested bankroll: 10 units.
- Strategy Note: Horizontally aligned frames are significantly more valuable than vertically stacked ones. The goal is to create four-of-a-kind and five-of-a-kind wins on the tenth spin, as three-of-a-kind payouts are very low.
- On Spin 10: Never play. The cycle is complete and the frames have no value.
