Game Features & Mechanics
Dragon Lights (available in Fortune Skies, Mystical Falls, and Secret Fortress themes) is a high-volatility IGT title built around progressive Free Games. Unlike traditional progressives that grow in cash value, these progressives grow in the quantity of free spins awarded when the bonus triggers.
The game features four distinct bonus tiers, each with its own win potential:
- Mini: Low volatility, features multipliers up to 3x.
- Minor: Mid volatility, features multipliers up to 5x.
- Major: High volatility, features multipliers up to 8x.
- Mega: Extreme volatility, features multipliers up to 15x.
The "On Fire" Trap:
A unique visual feature of Dragon Lights is that the meters will appear to catch flame once they reach a certain number. Do not be fooled. These flames are a marketing tool designed by IGT to encourage play; they often appear long before the machine reaches a mathematically positive state (+EV). Always stick to the verified entry points rather than the visual cues.
Persistent State Mechanics:
Because the number of free games in each meter is saved per bet level and denomination, a player who has "pumped" the meters without triggering the bonus leaves behind a significant mathematical edge. All meters are capped at 200 games, but the bonus can trigger randomly at any time.
What to Be Careful About
- Suggested bankroll: 500 units.
- Capped Meters: If a meter reaches 200, it will stop growing. While this indicates a high potential payout, it does not mean the bonus is "due" to hit on the next spin.
