Dancing Drums Guide
by Light & Wonder
Often found on dual-game cabinets alongside the original, Dancing Drums: Golden Drums introduces a powerful, persistent bonus multiplier.
When to Play
How the Feature Works
The key persistent feature of this game is the Bonus Multiplier, which starts at 2x and is capped at 8x. During the base game, landing a drum symbol with a "+1" on it will increase this multiplier. The multiplier is stored for each bet level and is only used when the Golden Respin feature is triggered.
Golden Respin Feature
This feature is triggered by landing a drum symbol (or wild) on both reel 1 and reel 2. During the feature, reels 3, 4, and 5 can expand in height, and you collect credit prizes from any drum symbols that land.
- If a special glowing green drum lands, its prize is multiplied by your stored multiplier.
- The multiplier only resets to 2x if a green drum is awarded; otherwise, it carries over to the next feature trigger.
Free Games Bonus
This is the main bonus and is triggered by landing drum symbols (or wilds) on reels 1, 2, and 3. This often happens during the Golden Respin feature if a drum lands on the third reel. When triggered, your stored multiplier carries over and applies to wins for the entire duration of the free games, which is where the largest payouts occur.
What to Be Careful About
- Suggested bankroll: 250 units.
- Volatility Warning: The base game of Golden Drums has a very high drain with frequent non-winning spins. The game's value is almost entirely packed into the bonus features. Be prepared for your balance to decrease steadily while you wait for a feature trigger. Your biggest wins will come from triggering the Free Games bonus while you have a high multiplier.
- Visual Trap: Ignore the coins accumulating in the bowl at the top of the screen. They are purely for animation and have no effect on triggering the bonus or the jackpot pick feature.
