Buffalo Diamond Guide
by Aristocrat Gaming
This popular entry in the Buffalo franchise features a unique progressive system. Instead of jackpots, players build up three separate free games meters, each tied to a powerful win multiplier of 2x, 3x, or 4x for the bonus round.
When to Play
Game Features & Mechanics
The core mechanic of Buffalo Diamond is its three Progressive Free Games Meters, which are displayed for each bet level. Each meter is tied to a specific win multiplier and has a different trigger difficulty:
- 2x Multiplier (Easiest to trigger)
- 3x Multiplier
- 4x Multiplier (Hardest to trigger)
During the base game, landing special symbols (like the Diamond scatters) causes the number of free games in one of the meters to increase. When the free games bonus is finally triggered for a specific meter, the player is awarded the total number of spins accumulated in that meter.
During the bonus round, all wins (including the classic "Buffalo" line hits) are multiplied by that meter's corresponding value (2x, 3x, or 4x). After the bonus is completed, the meter that was triggered resets to a base of 7 free games.
What to Be Careful About
- Suggested bankroll: 750 units.
- High Volatility Warning: This is a very high-variance game. The bonus triggers are completely random and not must-hit-by. A high game count does not make the bonus more likely to hit; it only means the reward will be greater when it finally does. You must have a substantial bankroll to chase these high numbers.
