Wheel of Fortune High Roller Guide
by IGT
This Wheel of Fortune slot features dynamic "High Roller" expanding reels that grow up to 8 symbols high. The goal is to land a trigger symbol on a maxed-out reel to win a powerful wheel spin with extra pointers, win multipliers, or a high-value mystery award.
When to Play
Game Features & Mechanics
The core mechanic of this game involves expanding reels. Each of the five reels starts at 3 symbols tall. When a "High Roller" symbol lands on a reel, that reel's height increases, up to a maximum of 8 symbols.
The Wheel Spin Bonus is triggered when another "High Roller" symbol lands on a reel that is already at its maximum height of 8 symbols. This awards the prize displayed directly above that reel, and then that reel resets to its base height of 3 symbols.
The Wheel Spin prizes include:
- Multiplier Wheels: Awards a spin on a wheel with a 2x, 3x, 4x, or 5x multiplier applied to the win.
- Multi-Pointer Wheels: Awards a spin with 2, 3, 4, or 5 pointers on the wheel.
- Mystery (?) Wheels: Awards a random combination of both, with 2-5 pointers and a 2x-5x multiplier.
The game also features a "pays both ways" mechanic and a free games bonus (similar to Hexbreak3r) where the reels expand downwards.
What to Be Careful About
- Suggested bankroll: 500 units.
- Crucial Strategy Note: Do NOT play this game based on the "ways-to-win" alone, unlike Hexbreak3r. Even though this game also pays both ways (left-to-right and right-to-left), the standard line hits are not lucrative. The game's value is almost entirely concentrated in triggering the wheel spin features.
- Volatility Warning: This is a high-variance game. The Mystery (?) Wheel is the most valuable but will often award a low-value 2-pointer/2x multiplier. You must have the bankroll to ride out these smaller wins while waiting for the rare, massive 5-pointer/5x multiplier combination.
